My Journey

  • Born on November 13, 1970 — from Ōita, Japan.

  • In childhood, I survived a serious illness that taught me the preciousness of life
and the unseen forces that guide it.

  • I studied interior design and architectural planning,
pursuing harmony between beauty and function in space.

  • My calligraphy is self-taught — free from form, devoted to prayer and light,
a style that invites blessings simply by being displayed.

  • With the theme “Writing that Calls Fortune and Opens Destiny,”
I create works, logos, and signboards that carry spiritual resonance.

  • I founded Fuku-yui (Binding Happiness), Shōkoin (Name Mission Calligraphy),
and Ryūrando, a collaboration uniting the wisdom of the Mayan calendar and Fukuun calligraphy,
where I craft Soul Inscriptions and Heavenly Destiny Inscriptions.

  • I also create handmade aroma candles,
crafted with carefully selected natural materials to bring peace and comfort.

  • As an instructor of Modern Goshin-fu,
I design protective talismans and lead spiritual workshops.

  • As a therapeutic bodywork practitioner,
I support children in the gray zone and their parents with gentle, developmental care.

  • My creed:
“To deliver good fortune and illuminate lives with light.”

Ōno River Battle Festival
Exhibition & Participation Confirmed!

About the Ōnogawa Battle Festival

In the year 1586 (Taishō 14), at the foot of Tsuruga Castle on the plains of Tsuiji River,
a coalition army of the three great lords — Chōsokabe, Sogō, and Sengoku —
joined by the Ōtomo forces, numbering over six thousand,
clashed with the mighty Shimazu army of twenty-five thousand.

Outnumbered and ensnared by the reckless tactics of commander Sen Hidehisa,
the Ōtomo side faced near annihilation.

To bury the thousands who fell in battle, local villagers built several Chinintsuka (mounds of a thousand souls).
It is said that the Ōno River ran red with their blood for days.

Even today, the graves of fallen warriors such as Chōsokabe Nobuchika and Sogō Masayasu remain,
and memorial services continue to be held by the local people.

To pass down this historic event to future generations,
and to revitalize the community,
the festival is celebrated under the slogan:
“Dreams for the Youth, Brilliance for Our Hometown Ōnami.”
It stands as one of Ōita City’s major cultural and tourism events.

Ryūrando — The Fusion of Mayan Calendar and Fukuun Calligraphy

Founded upon the principle:
“Empowering stillness, and opening the future through inner abundance.”

Ryūrando is a sacred atelier where the wisdom of the Mayan Calendar meets
the calligraphic art of Fukuun Master Sorairo—creating writings that engrave the soul.

We interpret the unseen energies and meanings that dwell within life’s turning points,
expressing them through poetry and calligraphy,
to realign and strengthen the core of both individuals and organizations.

Carrying Your Heart in Scent and Light

Delivering the power of words as a prayer through the brush.
Fukuun Calligraphy is my expression — transforming wishes and heartfelt emotions into words,
and writing them with sincerity and spirit.

From logos and signboards to gifts,
each piece is created as a single brushstroke of blessing and intention.

This work of calligraphy, "Soul," is written with powerful, flowing brushstrokes. The shades of ink and the empty spaces express spiritual depth and prayer.

A Sacred Symbol that Binds Protection and Prayer

A talisman that resonates with ancient wisdom and modern sensibilities.
As a traditional craftsman, I carefully create each piece with my hopes and prayers.
At the workshop, you can also experience writing your own amulet by hand.

Putting feelings into scent and light

At Shuntouka, they blend fragrances, and at Youto, they make ceramic vessels.
The moment the fire is lit, we hope that "quiet happiness" will spread throughout the space.

The Meaning and Blessing Behind the Name “Sorairo”

Just as a gentle color softly spills into the sky,
I wish to be someone who quietly brightens another’s heart.

The sky accepts every color,
soothing, embracing, and watching over those who look up to it.

In the same way—
able to receive any shade,
gentle, warm, and close to someone’s heart—
I chose the name “Sorairo.”

In Closing

Everything I create at Fukuunya Sorairo
comes from the wish to gently support someone’s hopes.
If my works or sessions can bring a soft light
to your heart, I would be truly grateful.
